Chloé Pérès-Labourdette (Montbrison,1995) is an Utrecht based textile artist. After graduating from the HKU in 2018 she started researching techniques like embroidery, patchwork and sewing, and making a connection between craft and contemporary art. Her work serves as a vessel for the forgotten stories behind these crafts, which she finds while researching techniques. Stories that create fuel for discussion and conversation. Mixing up timelines that fascinate her to make a new visual language that fit her universe, often challenging the idea we have of feminine and masculine within textile.
